How to make a wedding registry from any shop

Guests want to give you something you'll treasure, and you'd rather not get four toasters. An online wedding registry lets you wish for things from any shop, plus experiences and funds.

Why an online wedding registry

A traditional registry ties you to one department store. An online registry lets you add things from any shop you like, from a small design studio to a big marketplace, all in one list.

Guests see what's still available, reserve a gift with one click and buy it wherever they like. Nothing gets bought twice.

What couples put on a registry

Make the list together

Add wishes together so the list reflects both of you. Set quantities for things you need several of, such as plates or glasses, and mark the priorities, so guests know what matters most.

Include a range of prices. Some guests want to give something small, others prefer to join a fund or buy one bigger gift.

Sharing the registry with guests

Put the link on your wedding website or invitation, or send it with your RSVP details. Guests don't need an account to view the list and reserve a gift.

If you'd like to keep the list private, choose who can see it: anyone with the link, or only the guests you invite by e-mail.

Money funds and honeymoon wishes

Many couples prefer contributions to things. A money fund shows a target amount and how much guests have pledged so far. Wishetta doesn't handle the money: guests send their gift to you directly, the way you agree on.

After the wedding

Mark what you received and send a personal thank-you note to each guest from the list. Registered guests get it by e-mail, guests without an account see it the next time they open your list.

Frequently asked questions

Can we add gifts from different shops?

Yes. Paste product links from any online shop. Wishetta fills in the name, photo and price, and guests buy the gift wherever they like.

Can guests contribute to our honeymoon?

Yes. Add a money fund with a target. Guests pledge an amount and send the money to you directly, and you see how close you are to the target.

Will we see who gave what?

Reservations are hidden from you, so the gifts stay a surprise until the wedding. After the wedding, mark what you received and thank the givers.

When should we share our wedding registry?

Share it with the invitations or on your wedding website, about two to three months before the wedding.
